Method of solving this CAT Verbal Ability Question from Word Usage question
Option B is correct. The word has been correctly used in (a), (c) and (d) with meanings, a roll of fabric, fasten or lock and a sudden escape, respectively. In (b) the usage of ‘bolt’ would mean run, sprint etc, which is contradictory to the 1st part (As he could not move).
