Method of solving this CAT Quantitative Ability Question from TIme, Speed, Distance and Work question

(a) In order to minimize the petrol consumption mileage has to be maximum from the graph given in the question.

Maximum mileage is 24 kms/ltr and the distance to be travelled is 160 kms so the minimum petrol consumption

= distance / mileage

= 160 / 24

= 6.66 ltrs.
