Method of solving this CAT Quantitative Ability Question from Permutation, Combination and Probability question

Since no two men are adjacent to each other, therefore no male is on the right of Mr. A.

Since wives are three places away from their husbands, therefore Mrs. A cannot be on the right of Mr. A. Mrs. E cannot be on the right of Mr. A, since Mrs. B cannot be on left of Mr. A. Hence, either Mrs. B or Mrs. D can be on the right of Mr. A.
