I. The lines intersect at a point which also lies on the lines 3x – 4y = 1 and 7x – 8y = 5

II. The lines are perpendicular, and one of them intersects the y-axis at an intercept of 4

(c) Statement I gives us the point of Intersection of the two lines (3,2) statement II give us the equation of one line passing through (0, 4) & pt ( 3, 2) also since two lines are perpendicular, we can find its slope also . Hence we can find the area with the help of both the statements.
